Apex Performing Arts Boosters:
There will be a mandatory meeting for parents of all choral students September 19 6:00p.m. in the AHS auditorium. Each parent of a choral student is considered a member of the Apex Performing Arts Boosters. Board Members and their contact info will be listed on the website and at the bottom of this handout. Parent Involvement is vital to keeping the Apex Choral Program successful and fun. We will discuss fundraisers, financial responsibilities, the calendar, trip info, and opportunities to volunteer.
The treasurer maintains a record of how much each student has fundraised for the Boosters. That money goes into the students’ account. Students may designate that their student account money be applied to their chorus related expenses including concert attire, fair share, or trip expenses that the board approves. Apex Performing Arts Boosters is a 501(c)3 organization governed by specific rules and regulations which prohibit funds raised (including student account funds) for being used for any purpose other than those stated in our bylaws. The bylaws are posted below. The guiding principles of authorization of disbursements from student accounts shall be adherence to tax regulations regarding allowable business expenses and consistency with accomplishing the stated goals of the Boosters and associated choral programs. Expenditures from student accounts will be made using the same standards regardless of the balance and/or owner of the account.
